Does Trackfolio invest or buy assets for me?
No. Trackfolio is a portfolio tracker: you log the trades you already made at your broker or exchange, and the app shows you how your holdings evolve. It doesn't buy or sell anything, it doesn't move your money, and it doesn't give financial advice.
Do I have to connect my broker or my bank?
No, and there's no option to. Trackfolio never asks for credentials and never accesses your accounts: you enter your trades by hand. Your money and your assets stay where they are, at your broker or exchange, and nothing here can touch them.
Where do the asset prices come from?
From market data providers, updated automatically. You log what you bought, when and at what price; the app pulls today's quote on its own. That way you see your portfolio's current value without updating anything by hand.
Can I track stocks and crypto in the same portfolio?
Yes. Stocks, ETFs and cryptocurrencies live in the same portfolio, and the total balance adds them up together. You don't need a separate app for each one, or to do the math yourself at the end of the month.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
You don't lose it. The free account never expires: if you cancel Pro you go back to the free plan's limits, and your transaction history stays there, ready whenever you want to pick it up again.
